Cynthia Milledge is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. She currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Her job responsibilities range from planning and implementing strategies, campaigns, and PR events to building relationships with key business and media leaders. Prior to her career at the MMFA, she worked as a journalist for nearly 19 years at television stations in Alabama and Louisiana. During her time in the broadcasting industry, she earned accolades including 2010 Twin Cities Mayor’s Committee on Disabilities Media Coverage Award, 2007 Associated Press (AP) Award for Best in Depth Series and Best Continuing Coverage, and 2003 Associated Press (AP) Award for Best Documentary.
Cynthia is a proud graduate of Troy State University in Troy, Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In hopes of enhancing her skills in the public relations profession, she recently began graduate school and plans to complete her Master of Science Degree in Strategic Communications in the spring of 2017.
When this young lady is not hard at work or doing homework, you can find her volunteering in her community and training for half marathons. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Her top priority in life is to fulfill God’s calling of inspiring others through motivational speaking. Her home church is Troy Chapel A.M.E Zion here in Montgomery. As a member, she serves on the Trustee Board, Usher Board, and the Christian Education Department. She is also the Director of Youth for the East Montgomery District of the A.M.E. Zion Church. Miss Milledge’s motto is, “Don’t let man determine your destiny; that’s up to you and God.”
