Dan was a Fulbright Scholar from Tulane University and did his post-graduate work in European History in Germany. He served in the U. S. Army military intelligence for 3 years. He worked as a Management Analyst for the Federal GAO. He also worked as a marketing representative for Random House Publishing in New York City. Dan taught History courses at Tulane University, Columbia College, AUM, and Huntingdon College. He has a life-time legacy of playing the trombone with the Recreator’s, the Upbeats, the Alcazar’s Brass Band, the Auburn Knights, and other local groups. Dan has faithfully served on the Arts Council Board of Directors for the past 25 years. He has been happily married to his college sweetheart, Judy Johnson Bailey, for the past 25 years. Judy is also a faithful Arts Council volunteer and friend.
